NATIONAL DEPRESSION SCREENING DAY 2017

Depression affects people of all ages, men and women, and sometimes children. Most people are unaware of depression and consider the symptoms as normal. National Depression Screening Day Origin 

National Depression Screening Day (NDSD) program was first introduced by a non-profit organization, Screening for Mental Health Inc. (SMH).  It aims to provide public education about depression.

Since 1991, hundred thousands of people have been helped by the National Depression Screening Day.

It raises awareness for depressions and similar mood and anxiety disorders. It also provides free local and online screenings and gives referrals for effective treatment.

This National Depression Screening Day, you will have an opportunity to learn more about depression and how to find treatment. You do not necessarily need to go to a clinic. There are online screenings, which are more private, that you can avail. You can answer the brief questionnaires provided which will give you an idea whether you suffer from depression and need help.
